Here’s everything you need to know about working with me here at It Takes Two Center for Couples!

  • Couples therapy with me begins with a short series of assessments. Pricing is as follows:
    ✔️ Initial 90-Minute Joint Assessment: $265
    ✔️ Individual 50-Minute Assessments: $165 each
✔️ Gottman Love Lab Assessment: $159

After that, I charge for ongoing sessions at the following rates:

    ✔️ 90-Minute Appointment: $250 *
    ✔️ 120-Minute Appointments: $330

*The 90-minute option is the Gottman recommendation—and it’s my favorite, too! It gives us the right amount of time to really dig in deep to issues surfaced during your appointment without leaving you hanging at the end.

Payment is due at the time of your appointment.

Marathon/Intensive Couples Therapy Retreats and other workshops are priced based on therapy hours and what’s included. Visit the following pages for more details:

*For all intensives- A deposit of 50% of your intensive is required at the point of reservation to formerly hold your requested dates and the remaining payment is due at the time of your appointment.

I am committed to providing you with a Good Faith Estimate, in accordance with the No Surprises Act.

  • Short answer… sort of. For weekly/bi-weekly therapy sessions, I provide Telehealth only throughout the states of North Carolina and Florida. For Marathon/Intensives (several days at once), I offer in-person availability in my downtown office location in Asheville, NC.

  • Not at all! But… (yes, there’s a but) you do need to be in either Florida or North Carolina at the time of the appointment.

  • Yes! I do offer telehealth/online couples therapy sessions for clients located in Florida or North Carolina.

I use a HIPAA- and HITECH-compliant virtual therapy platform to conduct online therapy sessions, so you can be assured of privacy and confidentiality even when we aren’t meeting face-to-face.

  • It Takes Two Center for Couples is located in at 12 1/2 Wall St. in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. HOWEVER, I am currently providing in-person for Marathon/Intensive appointments only. All other weekly/bi-weekly appointments are held through Telehealth.

I am licensed in both North Carolina and Florida, which means I can also see you virtually/via telehealth if you’re located anywhere in one of those states during our work together!

  • It can be really scary to dive into this kind of commitment without knowing ahead of time whether or not we’ll all be a good fit for each other—especially if you or your partner are nervous or hesitant about couples therapy to begin with! I completely understand.

It’s tough to say definitively before we’ve begun our work together, but I can tell you this: the couples who find the most success in therapy with me are the couples who are willing to show up in good faith; be open, honest, and vulnerable; and do the work between sessions.

If you’re looking to uncover your patterns, bring the tough stuff to light, and truly receive advice and guidance, then I’d love to explore the possibility of working together!

  • My goal for all of my clients is to restore the bond, the connection, and the foundational friendship between partners.

During our first appointment, I’ll take some time to get to know you and understand what your joint and individual goals are for couples therapy. Over time, we’ll begin to identify the patterns and habits contributing to your relational challenges, revisit your initial goals, and set a course of action for moving forward.

  • Great question! One thing I don’t do is jump in aimlessly—because I know you’re looking for results.

So here’s how this works: before we move into a traditional weekly schedule where I work with both you and your partner, I’ll conduct a series of assessments.

Those assessments will look like this:
✔️ A 90-minute assessment with both of you
✔️ A 50-minute assessment with each of you individually; these are two separate appointments.
✔️ The Love Lab Experience, including video assessments and confidential online questionnaires

Once we’ve got those under our belts, I’ll be better able to give you the “MRI” (if you will!) of your relationship.

Having this big picture allows me to target your trouble spots with better precision, keeping us out of the murky waters where we’d just muddle along from week to week.

  • It Takes Two Center for Couples is a private-pay practice, which means that I do not accept insurance. Please see my rates under the section above stated “How much will couples therapy cost?”

  • I get it—life happens! In order to ensure the best, most consistent and most effective experience for all of my clients, for couples therapy appointments, I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged at my regular rate of $155.

    For Marathon/Intensive Appointments:

Cancellations can be made up to 30 days prior to your scheduled appointment with a $500 cancellation fee. Deposits are non-refundable within 30 days.

Your session can be rescheduled one time. However, the new date must be within 3 months of your original date.

  • Absolutely. My practice is open to ALL couples. This includes married couples, non-married couples, LBGTQ+ identifying couples, and couples practicing consensual non-monogamy (i.e., Polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, etc.)

I am available Monday-Friday for couples therapy appointments, and select weekends each month for Marathon/Intensives. *If you would prefer to have a Marathon/Intensive during the week, we can definitely work that out!

I do require appointments and phone calls to be scheduled in advance so I can ensure presence and preparation for all of my clients!
